San Diego is more than just a place I’m from. It is home to a lifetime of experiences playing under the sun, just as much as it has been growing up to see the stretch of shadows being cast over our community. And it is in the resilience of our neighbors, in the smiles of friends, old and new, that shape my vision of a brighter future for us all and leaves no one behind in the dark any longer.

I am tired of being looked at by those who claim they’re here to 'help people like me,' yet still feel so unseen.
In everything I do, I am driven by a deep belief in the worth of compassion and empathy, a genuine desire for authenticity that seems lacking in politics today. I refuse to be reduced to a mere photo op or be counted as a statistic, to have my identity distilled into an algorithm designed to win elections.
I am a person. I have the same inherent right as anyone else, whether in office or on the streets, to define my own place in the world.
I believe in a future where our collective voices and experiences matter, where genuine connection and understanding will always prevail.
